Close your eyes and allow yourself to be transported over the luscious green mountaintops of the eastern Peloponnese and the sparkling blue sea of the Saronic Gulf. Here you will arrive at one of Greece’s best-kept secrets – the natural harbor that is ancient Epidavros. A heavenly abode, untouched by the bright lights and the fast-moving modern world, this is a place where the elements dance together to reveal their secrets to you. Stars that burst out of the clear night sky, waters that sparkle with freshness and radiance under the energetic sunlight, and healing sunsets and soft moonlight. This is a retreat uniquely designed to bring you home to your natural and wise self, to help you find the deeper meaning and joy of life that is surrounding you at all times. The sacred location combined with the deep and awakening yoga program promise to leave you feeling authentic, alive, and ready for the healthy gifts that life always wishes to shower upon you. With deep love and respect, we cater to everyone of all levels. From experienced yogis looking to deepen their practice, to complete beginners who are looking for a kind teacher, we will offer variations and support to all.

Location.

Oh, the beauty of ancient Epidavros! The greenery of the pine trees, the secluded and almost empty beaches, the stars that burst out of the skies with excitement, and the clear blue ocean are all truly conducive to soul searching and self-loving on a blissful yoga retreat. Surrounded by the luscious green mountains of eastern Peloponnese and the blue sea of Saronic Gulf lives the charming Greek tavern, Mike’s Hotel. The family-run hotel totters alongside the vibrant water’s edge where everyone can enjoy the view of the traditional wooden fishing and sailboats set against the most ravishing of sunsets. Both the hotel and rooftop yoga shala offer scenic views of the sea while the relaxing sound of soft waves, gentle breeze, and church bells create the perfect backdrop for the journey within.

ROOMS.

The characterful, family-run hotel and restaurant, Mike’s Hotel, is not merely “working the season”. They proudly practice and present the true spirit of Mediterranean hospitality. The rooms are light and airy with a classic Mediterranean feel. Most rooms offer a view of the sea with a balcony, allowing the sea breeze to tenderly refresh the sweet space.

FOOD.

Breakfast, lumch and dinner are served by the water’s edge as the sun sets in the west. The food is full-board and includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. A hug from a Greek grandmother over freshly plucked orange juice wouldn’t be out of place. Taking two hours to eat breakfast by the seashore, while all of your issues float away into a cloud of peace, wouldn’t be impossible. And let’s face it, in this modern era of constant movement, simple moments like these are what put love into life. With their slow cooking, organic, and local produce (and not because it’s trending but because it’s how they’ve always done it), a whole array of excellent traditional Greek cuisine will deeply nourish you.

Vegetarian favorites such bas riam, beans, eggplant, green beans, gemista, and stuffed up imam baildi will leave you feeling truly satisfied (and if you’re still longing for some grilled fish or meat you can easily order that as an extra too!) And for those with a sweet tooth, baklava, kantaifi, and fresh yogurt with honey will put a big smile on your face.

Kat has designed this varied and totally unique itinerary that is both spacious and transformational.
