Accommodation and location

We will be staying at Sunny Bay, a family run beach front hotel located in the secluded area of Kissamos bay.

All the rooms have two twin beds and a balcony with a wonderful view of the crystal clear blue sea or of the nice hotel’s swimming pools areas. The hotel offers multiple amenities like an outdoor pool, garden, terrace, poolside bar, restaurant, room service, a lounge and free Wifi. The complex lies in an idyllic position in the bay of Kissamos, 37 km west of Chania and just ten minutes from the center of Kissamos town on foot.

Teachers

Run by Olga Galabova and Krishna Hassomal, you will have the benefit of two yoga teachers guiding you through your daily practice. They each bring our own authentic styles but are united by the belief that yoga is there to be enjoyed by everyone and always ensure our students enjoy their classes no matter what level of experience they have.

Yoga

The morning and evening yoga and meditation classes will be held in the hotel facing the sea front, and on some occasions on the beach front itself. The classes are open to everyone, beginners and intermediate yogis alike.

We will be practicing a range of styles and practices including: hatha, vinyasa flow, yoga nidra, pranayama breath work and meditation.

Guided Hiking

We will enjoy four leisurely paced walks of light to medium difficulty lasting from 2.5 to 4 hours. These will take place along the beaches, in the hills, the valleys, the town of Kissamos and the surrounding area, as well as going through traditional villages and little-known Ancient sites.

We will be guided by Active Crete, experienced walkers Camille and Iakovos, who will share their knowledge on the local geography and flora. Each expedition starts at 10:00 am at the hotel and ends at about 14:00 pm at the hotel. Each walk has regular rest stops.

There is always the freedom to opt out from any of the walks or the yoga and meditation sessions.
