Join Karin this summer in one of three intensive yoga weeks in the beautiful Roman fortress town of Spello in central Umbria in Italy.

The yoga lessons will be taught by Karin Montali who obtained her Iyengar Yoga teaching diploma in 2001 and has been teaching the yoga classes at the Scuola Yoga Camerino since 2002.

You will be practising standing, sitting and inverted postures, as well as restful and restorative postures. You will focus on the alignment of the body with the help of props such as bricks, belts, bolsters, weights, chairs and ropes. There will be two 2-3 hour long classes every day and one organised excursion without yoga when we will either have a trip to the beach or a walk in the mountains. Non-participating partners are welcome. Special diets can be catered for. The accommodation will be in a renovated convent in the historic town centre of Spello.

Spello is a Roman fortress town in Umbria on the doorstep of Assisi, with excellent views of Foligno and towards Perugia. Spello’s pleasant and lively historic centre is ideal for shopping, strolling around or having a coffee or aperitivo in one of the many bars or a snack in one of the small delis. Many art works can be seen in its museums, churches and ancient palazzi. Spello is a convenient starting point to explore the Umbria region, its capital Perugia, the city of Assisi and the adjacent region of Le Marche. A car is not necessary: Spello is a small town and you can walk to most places.
